Parker Elementary Celebrates Family Science Night
On Tuesday, March 20th, Parker Elementary presented Family Science Night.
The purpose of Family Science Night is to give children and parents an opportunity for hands-on exploration of science, as well as create an interest in science; Parker had more than 350 children and parents attend; all stations were manned by faculty members from all grade levels and subject areas.
The Stations were:
Grody Grody Worms (making worms)
Snow Bound (making snow)
Oreo Moon Phases
Moon Craters
Moonwalk which was generously donated by BLC Moonwalks
Making Ice Cream
Save the World (digging out the chocolates from a chocolate chip cookie)
Loving Lava (making a lava lamp)
Balloon mystery-piercing a balloon without breaking it
Sound Shop-making a musical instrument
Black Light Moon Lab
Jewelry Shop
Attack of the Gak
Rain Sticks (making rain sticks)
